Are they Safe?

Since the cells come from and are returned back to the same horse, there is almost no risk of rejection. The risk of infection is the same as with any surgical procedure done by a veterinarian in the field. We process the cells in a sterile hood and adds an antibiotic to the cell suspension before returning them for injection. As a precaution, we recommend using systemic antibiotics as well.
